happy to see a dinosaur puzzle by this manufacturer October 27, 2002 christinemm - The Thinking Mother (Connecticut, United States) 44 out of 44 found this review helpful
As with all cardboard puzzles by Lights, Camera, Interaction! the quality is outstanding. The cardboard is thick and durable. The illustration is well-printed and the pieces are glossy. If not abused this puzzle will last generations. The pieces are strong enough not to get worn when our 2 year old tries to fit two pieces together that truly don't fit together! The subject matter of dinosaurs is much appreciated. The scene is illustrated in detail. My 2 year old and my 5 year old love this puzzle. A great gift for a birthday, for a 3, 4, or 5 year old.

This is an outstanding buzzle for our 4 year old. 48 pieces presents a challenge, but the large pieces keep the child interested and making progress. No two similar pieces become confusing. A wonderful puzzle to build confidence.

My 3 year old son enjoys his 24 piece grocery store puzzles and was able to spend a good 15-20 minutes assembling them, at first with help from mommy and then by himself. I thought it was time to try a more difficult puzzle- this was a good next step. He and I put this one together- he is not ready for it on his own, but it is not so difficult that he gets frustrated if we work together. As another reviewer pointed out, this is a good puzzle to teach 2 important puzzle skills that 24 piece puzzles don't quite get at: #1: to look at the box as a reference and #2: to start by making the outside border and then filling in the middle. The quality is outstanding- it blows grocery store puzzles out of the water. The colors are beautiful, but lots of similar shades of brown and green which make it slightly more difficult. My son is wanting to know the names of the different dinosaurs now. If you want to sit down and help your toddler with this puzzle at first it is a great one to get! We love this company and their products!!!
Years of Play and Still Going! October 22, 2002 19 out of 20 found this review helpful
My son received this as a birthday gift at age 4. He loved it because it had dinosaurs. He knew all the names but then he had to put it together. At first, it took him a long time to put the pieces together. However, it taught him to find the border of the puzzle first and then place the middle pieces. This is the only puzzle that he could play with over and over. I gave it a 5 for durability, because my son loved driving his Tonkas over it and would often stomp like a dinosaur on the pieces. It is still in good condition. The edges are little worn from use but it is loved. He is 5 1/2 and still loves it because it makes him feel that he is doing a big kid's puzzle. This would make a great gift that does not need any batteries! I highly recommend it for the fun, the educational aspect, and the durability!
I can't say enough! February 5, 2003 evans mom (Layton, UT United States) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
We bought this for our two-year-old dinosaur fanatic for Christmas. I was afraid it would be too difficult for him, but after doing it with him a couple of times, he can do it on his own. It holds his attention for the twenty to thirty minutes it takes for him to complete it. We've since bought him three other puzzles from this manufacturer. They're extremely durable.
