It looks incredibly simple. It isn't. It mocks you. It looks you in the eye and says, "You think you can open me. But better men than you have tried and failed. Go ahead. Do your worst."
You'll get your money's worth out of this puzzle. And when you finally solve it, you'll be entertained watching other people struggle to open it.
Its incredibly durable cast metal, and I fully expect it to last many years.

The brain puzzle was alot of fun. Although it was figured out by the end of Christmas day....I guess it wasn't hard enough for the person I gave it to.
But he can do a Rubics cube in less than 15 min.

This is one of the best gifts I've ever purchased. Very durable, and a great puzzle, but also challenging. Expect to sit down for several hours trying to solve it.

A coworker brought this puzzle into the office along with other Hanayama Cast puzzles. So a bunch of engineering geeks left their computers and were totally consumed by them for several hours. I think this one was the most difficult to solve because the way to solve it is quite different from the others. A hint: think about the laws of physics.

My wife got me this puzzle for my birthday and was disappointed that I had it solved in under five minutes. Granted that was partly luck, but it was still a pretty easy one to solve. And once I had it open I could easily see how and why I got lucky and found a better way to open it. But it's still a great puzzle and a lot of fun to pass off to your family and friends to watch struggle. It's very durable and small enough to fit easily in your pocket. I brought mine bowling for the birthday celebration and had fun watching everyone work on it between frames. Even the kids were giving it a shot. There's not much replay value, except for showing it off, but it is ingenious enough that you can show people the solution and with a little acting/deception still have them stumped. I definitely recommend this for puzzle enthusiasts even if it isn't too difficult to solve.
